John Shackleton spent 6 hours and 11 minutes trying to cross the Cook Strait on Saturday 31 March 2012. Unfortunately the Strait did not let him swim the full 26 km, a strong current drove them north. We are extremely proud of what John has achieved in water that was only 15 degrees Celsius.
Thanks to all those supporting John and Children’s Autism Foundation, and in particular thanks to all those who entered the competition.
We are happy to announce the winners of our competition
