The next meeting of the Autism NZ YOUTH ASPERGER SOCIAL GROUP is this Sunday, 7th July. (The group runs on the first Sunday of every month except January).
TIME: 12-2PM
PLACE: Autism NZ Inc, Auckland Branch premises, 642 New North Road, Mt Albert COST: Gold coin donation. Please note if you don’t have a gold coin, please still come to the meeting and pay another time.
PARKING: There is plenty of parking on the road. Please do not use the carpark. It can be locked at any time and facilitators do not carry keys.
The DISCUSSION TOPIC for this month will be: JOKES AND LIMERICKS. Feel free to share with the group a joke or limerick. (Please note nothing potentially offensive eg racist, sexist or sexual – just good clean humour!) If you don’t know any jokes or limericks, there are plenty on the internet.
GUEST SPEAKER Eric Moskowitz is the father of a wonderful young man named Jack, who is in his early 20’s and is on the Autism Spectrum. Eric will share his experiences of raising Jack and supporting him to create a positive life for himself, including a recent successful venture into flatting in the community. Eric and Jack are both very inspiring people.
VISITOR We will also have a young lady visiting by the name of Georgia McNaught, Georgia is looking at being a volunteer helper for Autism NZ and will be coming along to observe the Youth Group in action.
The Youth Social Group is facilitated by Autism NZ Auckland Branch staff members Rosemarie Bailey and Mirela Sandu, with the much appreciated assistance of parent helpers.
