Where can I find a parent support group?
North Shore Autism Support Group
For parents who have children on the autism spectrum of all ages. The facility is a safe environment to bring your pre-schooler if necessary, although they remain the parent’s responsibility.
Where: Rimu Room, Windsor Park Baptist Church, 550 East Coast Road, Mairangi Bay.
When: Last Friday of the month (outside of school holidays)

Coffee and Playgroup – Support for parents with autistic kids
This is a flexible group, here to help you form support networks in the community. Make new friendships, find support, share stories and your challenges. There is a fully fenced playground and inside space that is safe and comfortable. All ages welcome. Tea, coffee and cake will be provided.
Where: Birkdale Community House, 134 Birkdale Road, Birkdale
When: Fridays, 1:00-2:30pm during term time

Disability Connect
Support groups for Indian, Chinese and culturally-diverse families. Open to parents of children of all age groups. Meetings usually begin with a presentation by a specialist on a chosen topic and is followed by a shared lunch and the opportunity to chat with other parents.

Franklin Autism and Aspergers Support Group
For parents and caregivers with children on the spectrum of all ages (including adult children)

St Columba Special Kids and Families Playgroup, Botany
A playgroup for parents of preschool children diagnosed with ASD, Aspergers or ADHD.
Where: Functions rooms, St Columba, 480 Ti Rakau Drive, Botany
When: Every Wednesday 12.30 -2.30pm

Pasifika Autism Support Group (PASG)
PASG provides support, information and awareness in Auckland for the Pasifika Community.
Where: Riverside Community Centre, Cnr Bernard and Peace Ave, Mt Wellington.
